Founded in 2021, the Behind the Camera team is made up of a diverse group of scholars, curators, and graduate and undergraduate researchers from across the globe. Contributors come from a range of disciplines including history, art history, Asian Studies, and curatorial and lens-based practices. This interdisciplinary team seeks to make new scholarly perspectives and archival materials available across linguistic boundaries and provide new ways for students to engage with digitized and translated primary source materials.
2021年に集結したBehind the Camera（カメラの後ろで）のプロジェクトチームは、世界各国の学者、キュレーター、大学院生、学部生を含む多様なメンバーで構成されています。歴史学、美術史学、アジア学、キュレーションやレンズを使った実践現場など、さまざまな分野から人材が集まりました。チームの学際的な特徴を生かして新しい学術的視点を提示しながら、アーカイブ資料を言語の境界を越えて提供します。デジタル化された一次資料に英訳を加え、日本語を習得中の学生でも様々な形で利用できるようにすることを目指します。

- Carrie Cushman is the Edith Dale Monson Gallery Director and Curator at the Hartford Art School. She holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University and is a specialist in photography and contemporary art from Japan.

- Kelly Midori McCormick is an Assistant Professor in the History Department at the University of British Columbia whose research and teaching focuses on the history of photography and modern Japanese visual and material culture.
